The role of Children and Teens Ministry teachers in shaping children into responsible, faith-grounded individuals cannot be overemphasized.

The Council of Churches in Zambia (CCZ) was privileged to participate in the Anglican Lusaka Diocese Children and Teens Ministry Teachers’ Retreat, held at Christian Brothers Lusaka, a gathering designed to equip teachers with practical skills to better serve and nurture children in ministry.
The retreat provided a platform for teachers to engage in sessions ranging from leadership development to understanding and managing children’s emotions.
These discussions emphasized the importance of guiding young people toward becoming responsible, value-driven individuals grounded in faith.
Through the One Hope initiative Called to Thrive, under CCZ, teachers were encouraged and inspired to help young people discover God’s purpose for their lives not only in careers or formal employment but also in the unique gifts and talents God has placed within each of them.
CCZ commends the Anglican Church in Lusaka for this impactful initiative and reaffirms its commitment to partnering and collaborating in programs that strengthen the Church, empower teachers, and transform lives.
Together, we are building a generation of children who are confident in their faith, grounded in values, and equipped to thrive in God’s purpose.
