2018 United Church of Canada Africa and Partners Indaba opens in Lusaka

The 2018 United Church of Canada (UCC) Africa and Partners Indaba (Conference) has officially opened in Zambia’s capital Lusaka with a call to participants to understand the times and act accordingly.

Quoting from the book of 1 Chronicles 12:32, Council of Churches in Zambia (CCZ) General Secretary Fr Emmanuel Chikoya during devotion this morning called on participants to understand the times and know what they should do in response.

The objectives of the indaba include mutual sharing of the work partners do, facilitating capacity building, learning of best practices, worshiping and reflecting together on the meaning and practice of partnership in this dynamic global context.

The indaba is also promoting skill building for the development and strengthening of prophetic advocacy ministries rooted in contextual theological reflection and social analysis.

The conference which is being held at Prince Charles Hotel in Lusaka will run up to Friday, 26th January, 2018.
