GUY SCOTT"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Council of Churches in Zambia (CCZ) has learnt with deep sorrow of the passing of Zambia&#8217;s former Vice President, Dr. Guy Scott.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dr. Scott served the nation with honour and commitment, playing a notable role in Zambia&#8217;s democratic development and national progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Throughout his public life, he demonstrated dedication to serving the country, while making valuable contributions to governance, agriculture and national dialogue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Zambia has lost a respected statesman whose leadership and commitment to public service will be remembered for years to come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His contribution to the nation&#8217;s growth and his belief in dialogue, unity and national development leave behind a legacy that will continue to inspire future generations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Council of Churches in Zambia extends its sincere condolences to the Scott family, the Government and the people of Zambia during this period of mourning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We pray that God grants them comfort, strength and peace as they come to terms with the loss of their loved one and a distinguished national leader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As a nation, may we remain united in prayer and thanksgiving for a life dedicated to the service of Zambia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.&#8221; Matthew 5:4<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">May the soul of Dr. Guy Scott rest in eternal peace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">REV.
