SUMMARY:The Holy Weekend
DESCRIPTION:CCZ joins Christians around the world in celebrating Good Friday/Holy Friday\, Holy Saturday\, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday. We commemorate the crucifixion of Jesus on Good Friday and his death at Calvary that led to his Resurrection on Easter Monday. We celebrate his victory over death and sin which is the turning point for all creation. As Apostle Paul considered Good Friday “of first importance” that Jesus died for our sins\, was buried and was raised to life on the third day(Easter Monday) following what God had promised in the Scriptures in 1 Corinthians 15:3. \n“For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance; that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures\, that He was buried\, that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures” (1 Corinthians 15:3-4) \n \nOn Good Friday\, we celebrate and remember the day Jesus willingly suffered and died by crucifixion as the ultimate sacrifice for our sins (1 John 1:10). Easter follows it\, the glorious celebration of the day Jesus was raised from the dead\, heralding his victory over sin and death and pointing ahead to a future resurrection for all who are united to him by faith (Romans 6:5). \n \nOn Holy Saturday the day between Christ’s crucifixion and His resurrection. we celebrate as in the initial account of creation as found in the Book of Genesis\, God made man in His own image and likeness. To be truly himself\, man was to live in constant communion with the source and dynamic power of God. when man fell from God. Christ\, the Son of God through whom all things were created\, came to restore man to communion with God. thereby completing creation. All things are again as they should be. His mission is consummated. On the Blessed Sabbath He rests from all His works. \n \nOn Easter Sunday we celebrate the significance of  Jesus Christ’s triumph over death. His resurrection that means that eternal life is granted to all who believe in Him.  His resurrection provided final and undeniable proof that He is the Son of God and that He had overcome death once and for all. \n \nand finally on Easter Monday the day after Easter Sunday we celebrate our Savior’s selfless act. when he died on the cross for our sin\, taking  our place as the perfect\, blameless sacrifice. and for whoever believes in him  receives this gift of salvation and be with him forever.
