The church in Zambia has expressed its sadness following the death of the country’s president, Michael Chilufya Sata. President Sata died on Tuesday October 28, while undergoing medical treatment in a hospital in London.

Lusaka — Churches in Zambia are mourning the death of President Michael Chilufya Sata who died on October 28 in a London hospital.

The Lusaka Women’s Fellowship of the Local Council of Churches (LCC) donated goods worth over K3,400 to Lusaka’s Chimbokaila Prison male section to commemorate the year 2014, 16 days of activism against gender based violence.

The church has been thanked for the love and support shown to the first family following the death of His Excellence President Michael Chilufya Sata.
