The Norwegian Church Aid (NCA) has commended the Council of Churches in Zambia (CCZ) for the work it is doing in lifting the living standards of people in Zambia through the implementation of NCA funded programmes especially in rural areas.
Speaking during a courtesy call by NCA marketing team from Norway, NCA country representative Harald Nyeggen Sommer described the partnership between CCZ and NCA as encouraging.
And Ragnhild Toyomasu a marketing representative of NCA in Norway explained that the team was in the country to better understand how NCA was working with its partners especially in implementing developmental programmes with rights based humanitarian approach.
“our marketing department in Norway works with the local churches to fundraise and mobilise resources that are channeled to you as partners which in turn is used to implement various programmes to improve the lives of people”, she said.
And CCZ General Secretary Rev Suzanne Matale thanked the team for visiting the council and for the continued support being rendered to implement the programmes especially in North-Western province under SEJ and Zambezi District.
“with the reduced resource availability from partners to implement programmes we are so grateful that NCA our all weather partner has continued to support our work,” Rev Matale said.
